"Oh Johnny-kins! There you are, I've been looking all over for you!"
Emiri extricates herself from her two friends who had rushed at each other blindly, not caring that Emiri was still in the middle of their crushing hug. With a sigh of relief, she leaves the two alone to their 'activities'. Which they really shouldn't have been doing in the middle of an OSA hallway...
(I mean, Rock Band? Seriously? "The drums are blocking the hallway, John. Your headbanging is getting far too intense, Jessica. You don't want to land yourself, or the ice cream cake, in hot water." >inside joke reference to Jessica Li's blonde moment<)
Emiri walks up the stairs, intending to find Diya and talk to her about her really, really weird dream. Or... at least, she thought it was a dream.
Halfway up the second flight, she notices two strange figures huddled in a corner near a fake tree. She uses her ninja abilities to sneak closer undetected and hears some snatches of conversation.
"Toss me your lighter."
"Sure, don't drop it."
"Thanks."
The distinct click of a lighter is heard.
Suddenly, Emiri's vision is blinded by puffs of smoke. Coughing, wheezing, and hacking, she waves them away and steps into the open, ready to apprehend the smoker.
"Hey! What do you thing you're doing?!"
No reply, followed by another long draw on a cigarette.
Emiri squints past the clouds of smoke to identify the smoker.
She gasps, "No way! You?! I can't be--"
Emiri is interrupted by a voice from above [the stairs].
------------------- P.O.V. Switch!-----------------
I'm walking down the hall from the third floor when I see the plumes of smoke. Shaking my head, I think, "I can't believe it. First her house almost burns down because of her habit, then she's sick for a week because of her poor respiratory system, and yet, she's still smoking. At school, no less."
I yell down, "Hey! You know, you really should stop that. And Anna, it's bad enough to have one of you, stop trying to get others to join you."
Anna scowls and replies, "Bad enough to have one of me? What's that supposed to mean, huh? You wanna start something? Do you? Huh? Huh?!"
Sean's voice randomly pipes up, "Hey! Stop calling my name!" He leaves the scene.
Another voice, which I identify as Emiri, speaks up, "Whoa, calm down there, uhh, what was your name again? Anna?"
Anna snarls, "That's right. And don't you forget it."
I comment, "Why so glum, chum? You aren't usually this surly."
With a sudden mood swing, Anna sighs forlornly and replies, "Oh, you know... it's that time of month again."
"Oh, that's right, first Tuesday of every month, how could I have forgotten?"
Emiri stares at me a bit strangely.
I shrug, "I have to know these things you know. So I can keep tabs on Anna and make sure she doesn't get caught."
Emiri just stares at me blankly, stuttering, "But... you know... isn't that... kind of... I don't know..."
I shrug and turn back to Anna, "So, you overdosed?"
Anna sighs, "Yep. I just can't seem to help myself."
Emiri is more confused than ever. "Wait... you overdosed on... painkillers?"
With that, I come to a sudden realization of why Emiri was confused and what she thought we were talking about. To clear things up, I ask Anna, "Your monthly shipment of 'stuff' has arrived?"
She switches moods again and snarls back, "Didn't I just say that? UGH!"
"The 'stuff' does weird things to Anna when she does too many at once," I direct towards Emiri.
A look of dawning realization lights up Emiri's face. No, not in the same way Anna's eyes light up when... you know.
And finally, I turn to apprehend the smoker, "Really now, stop smoking before you land yourself in serious trouble."
Maria grumbles, "Fine." And she tosses her cigarette out of the window. Where it lands on someone's head. And that person starts screaming.

whoa whoa ... I get confused after a whiel @_@
meh me too. So who's speaking in 1st person?
Hmm. You're right, it is a bit confusing. Well, to clear things up:
By 'stuff', I mean drugs. =) This is Anna we're talking about after all.
The person talking in first person is me, thus the name in the title.
But I have also decided to stop talking in first person entirely... it just doesn't work with my writing style, and I find it really hard to talk/think from Diya's point of view...
The story-me is quite a bit different from the real me... she's too hard to write for.
I apologize for the incredibly badly-written and weak innuendo. My skills have rusted and need some polishing it seems.
