I was walking in the hallways on old, crumbling, You-are-going-to-die-because-the-walls-are-so-old-they-will-fall-on-you Old Scona.

There seemed to be an eerie sort of magic aura. I had been trained to recognize auras.

It came from Mr. Ho's room, and the floorboards creaked as I crept into the dark room. (I didn't bother to turn on the lights)

I walked along the rows of screwed up desks. They were screwed up after a certain Wenhao had a screaming competition, while a certain Brandon Liew started singing randomly in the last class of the day: Math. Honestly, the singing was very much like the screaming. Or maybe, my ears are just messed up.

I finally stopped before a certain spot on the floor. It was glowing, practically burning, with magic. What was this? I thought I had gone through all the tests Mom and Dad put me through. Is this another test? Or my first mission?

I took one step into the glowing section of the floor. A door in the ground swung open under me, and I looked around. My surroundings were dark, and I could feel incredible winds whipping past me as I fell.

"In alliance with my star, the Light, and the Power of Creation, reveal your true form, staff!" I screamed as I fell. The bracelet that I always wore straightened and expanded into a purple wand. The tip glowed with the signs of the stars, the Light, and the Power of Creation.

I didn't know where I was going, but knowing the wand was here, was comforting.

I closed my eyes, and woke up to the inside of a dark dungeon.

"What the hell are you doing here?" a voice asked.

"Is that you, Diya?" my eyes started to get used to the darkness.

Maria was in the corner, rocking back and forth, probably...because she had no cigarettes.

"Huh? This is...wierd, guys. The wall is talking!" Nicole exclaimed.

"HELLLLLOOOO!" Anna screamed, clearly bored...and insane.

"It'll be okay, my sweetie jelly-bean-cake-pie-cereal-apple-juice-ice-cream-popsicle-honey," John cooed Jessica.

And I barfed, before I could see Jessica's reaction.

"Oh, it's Rosita. Nobody likes you," Catherine said her favourite little catchphrase.

"Where are we?" I asked.

"We are in the middle ages, and we are captured inside a castle. We all fell into the trapdoor in Mr. Ho's room," Maria said, still in fetal position.

"That's what happened to me," I replied.

"In that case...I should probably tell you what I am...I am a cyborg," Diya sighed.

Emiri finally woke up from her nap.

"AND I HAVE AWESOME ASIAN NINJA SKILLZ!" she screamed.

"I am a sorceress. In-training," I added.

"Good, then you can get us out of here," Catherine said.

"Let's see. Diya couldn't get you out of here because she was low on battery?" I asked.

"Yeah. How did you know that?" Diya asked.

"It came with the training," I replied.

"NOW WOULD YOU JUST GET US OUT OF HERE?!" Catherine grabbed me by the scruff of my shirt.

"No touchy," I brushed off myself, after she let me go.

"There's soldiers in this fortress," Maria said.

God knows, but I do not want to know what Jessica and John are doing now.

I observed the bars, and sliced them open after I transformed my staff to a sword.

"Quietly," Diya glared at Anna.

"WHY?! I WANT ICE CREAM!" she jumped up and down.

I cursed out loud. It wasn't any use to be quiet anyways, because we heard a thundering of feet coming.

"Run!" Diya roared.

We ran down the dimly lit hallways, and finally we came to a door. Nobody cared where it lead, so we opened it.

A sunny field of grass appeared in front of us. We made a run for it, but the soldiers caught up to us. We turned to face them. I was at the back of the group.

"Don't even try escaping. I am invincible. I am impervious to lightning, screaming children, crying women, I am--

I blasted off his head with a shot of energy. There was no blood, but his head was just kinda steaming.

"Don't even try being Voldemort," Catherine snorted at the soldiers.

Diya was almost at 80% charge battery.

Diya let out a war cry and rounded up the soldiers and chased them inside the castle, slamming the door, with superhuman speed.

She zoomed back to us.

Maria finally found a random pack of cigarettes on the ground.

"I dropped it when we were captured," she sighed in contentment.

"Let's get married!" Jessica hugged John.

Emiri was just doing random ninja squats, and then, lunges, with anime lasers coming out of her eyes, and an evil grin.

"Hello, all," a booming female voice came from above.

"Who was the one to decide she had the cool voice?" Catherine raised her fist. "I sue the writer of this script!"

"Ignoring that...I am the Queen of Light. I rule over the Kingdom of Light, needless to say. The reason why all of you got transported to this place, was because you were all stupid. Just kidding. It was because of fate. Scientists in the future have been experimenting with time, and therefore, time has been warped around. The door in Mr. Ho's classroom is just one of the loopholes in time. Your mission: collect some object that will fit this puzzle in all the eras you go to."

A box fell from, I don't know, heaven? And it hit Nicole, knocking out more brain cells. The brain, I mean box, contained a shattered star, with missing pieces.

"What if we don't want to do the puzzle?" Catherine screamed, still clearly mad at the Queen.

"Well, you will be stuck in here forever, and eventually, people from different times and areas will be smooshed into one world, where wars will break out, and your head shall become mounted onto a wooden plate, nailed into the wall of a bar," the Queen said offhandedly.

"OKKKAY!" Anna screamed, and Emiri tried to keep her under control.

"Argh!!" Anna...just ripped out part of Emiri's hair. I feel for you, man. Actually, I don't. And I don't want to.

"What happens if we piece the puzzle together?" Diya asked.

"You will be returned to your own times. With each piece collected, you will be closer and closer to your era. And, the puzzle pieces can be anything. The scientists used this box to experiment with time, and because the star inside is broken, time is too."

Emiri was really mad, and she ran after Anna with Maria's cigarette lighter.

"How do we travel to the different times?" I asked.

"After you collect the correct puzzle piece. You'll always find something that looks like Mr. Ho's room," the Queen said, and she disappeared.

Great. So if all goes wrong...then, we're stuck in here?! A soceress's power is always limited. And so is a cyborg's.

Diya turns to the gathered group and whispers, "Alright people, let's try to stay low profile, so sneak along quietly--"

"HELLLOOOOOO!" Anna shrieks in a deep voice.
Diya quickly clamps a hand over her mouth and hisses, "What the hell are you doing?! When you you ever say hello when you're breaking into a potentially dangerous fortress?!"
"Yeah, this is not a funny sitcom entrance, Anna," Maria reprimands, shaking a finger.
Nicole scratches her head, "Huh? I don't get it."
"Argh, never mind, let's just go and hope no one's heard us," Diya sighs resignedly.

"You are aware that you just made the severe error of employing a literary device called irony and thus, foreshadowed to an later event in our story that will potentially affect us negatively?" Jessica puts in.
Everyone exchanges confused glances and pulls a simultaneous Nicole-moment, "Huh? We don't get it."
John clarifies, "You just jinxed us."
"Ohhhhh."
Jessica smiles warmly at her love and says, "Thank you Johnny-wonny."
John hugs her and smiles back, "Any time, honey-bear."
Everyone else turns away pointedly.

"There they are! Intruders! Get them!" The castle guards storm towards the group. Catherine holds up a commanding hand.
"STOP."
Under the magnitude of her glare, the guards meekly halt where they stand.
"'Intruders? Get them?' How cliché is that?" she mocks them.
A guard in the forefront scratches the back of his helmet and pulls out a script from underneath his chestplate.
"Look lady, it's not our fault we get such cheesy lines. The idiot who wrote this script must have no imagination at all." He sighs and puts it away, "In any case, we have to take you captive now."

"Never!" Emily dramatically jumps up and high-kicks the guard in the head and shoots anime-style lightening bolts out of her eyes at the ones right behind him. They fall down with a chorus of thuds.

"You have a witch amongst you?" another guard points, with wide eyes.
Nicole looks confused, "Huh? Oh, you mean Emily here? No, no--"
"A witch! A witch! Burn her! Make a bridge out of her! Toss her in the pond!" the guards shout, advancing on Emily.
Emily narrows her eyes, preparing to take them all out. But alas, she was out-numbered.

Nicole nudges Diya, "Hey, wouldn't this be a good time to cyborgify all these guys so we can make an escape?"
Diya stares back, "Cyborgify? Is that even a word?" Diya shakes her head, "No, I can't, actually."
Flipping back a hidden panel on her wrist, she points at the battery display, "See? I'm down to about 3.5 percent, and even that's going to run out soon."
"What the heck? You run on batteries?! How the heck are we going to find batteries in this day and age? More importantly, how the hell are we going to find cigarettes here?!" Maria seethes.
"Well first off, my batteries are solar powered, see this panel here?" Diya points to her upper arm and continues, "I just need to get outside and under the sun for a while. Unfortunately, in our current situation, that doesn't look like it's going to be possible, as we're about to be captured in this castle, and thrown in the deep dark dungeons, presumably. Until then, I'm just a regular human."

"And Maria, I don't really think we're gonna find any cigarettes for you to suck on during our time here," John pats her on the back, and he gets a twinkle in his eye, "However--"
Jessica drags him away by the ear, "John, don't even go there."
"Yes Jessica dearest," John bows his head meekly.

The guards surround everyone and they make their way to the dungeons.
